Beverly Rich, JD, PhD, is an assistant professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Her research focuses on transactions between and within firms, specifically on how advances and innovations in technology can change contracting dynamics. She also studies changes to the legal industry and the practice of law in light of new technologies and changing regulatory schemes. Her research has been published in Harvard Business Review and Organization Science. She regularly consults with industry partners to facilitate adoption of machine learning technologies within their organizations and, especially, within legal departments and law firms. Prior to entering academia, Beverly practiced law in Los Angeles and worked on internet policy and governance at ICANN.
