Attendee Bio
As the chief visionary of SIM, Mark serves a team of 5000+ IT Leaders from Large Cap and Mid-Market companies and Non-Profits organizations from across the country.
Mark is an experienced business executive, leader & strategist with a unique ability to build bridges between executives, chapters, members, & partners. He is building a platform of trust that is leading SIM forward as a key influencer in the development of the next generation of IT leaders.
Before devoting his work fulltime at SIM, Mark was the Chief Operating Officer of CMP Management, an Association Management Company. Previously, Mark was CEO & VP of Sales of ClearCube Technology and for 15 years, a Sales Leader in the networking VAR market. Mark lead the top performing sales teams serving Commercial, State and Local Government and Education segments.
Mark is a specialist in navigating complex environments – a skill he learned from his boyhood. As the youngest of 11, Mark learned quickly how to “calm the chaos” and keep a group of diverse personalities on the same page and moving forward.
Mark’s commitment to developing leaders grew from a recognition that the effect of a leader's decisions cascade to the lives of their teams, investors, clients and communities.
Mark lives in Austin, Texas with his lovely wife, Darla, and enjoys spending time with (spoiling) his five spunky granddaughters.
